I started with the Awana Club at Sharon eleven years ago working in the Chums club. The next year I moved to the Sparks Club. I am looking forward to this year with the kids and helping them learn the Lord's word and having lots of fun with Sparkie! My youngest son is in his last year of Truth and Training. My oldest son joins his friends in a small group at another church on Wednesday evenings. My husband is a leader in the Truth and Training club.

We have two Sparks clubs at Sharon where we do our Sparkle Time separately and come together for Flag Ceremony, Green Meadow Time and Game Time. This works well in keeping the noise level in check. Terri Borden will again be my Sparks Leader for one of the two clubs. Terri has a daughter who is a Student Leader, and a son and daughter in Truth and Training. This will be her eighth year with Sparks.

We always welcome help in the clubs if you have the time to give. Since we have two clubs you could be with your child or in the other club. I can not express how rewarding it is to help these children, they are always surprising me with new things and keep me smiling and laughing. It is great to see God working in them and realizing that he can still use me.

To provide the new clubbers with a convenient way to carry their club book, bible and papers I will give them a club bag when they earn their club vest. If your clubber is a returning Sparky please send them with last year's bag. I will also use it to distribute any newsletters and notes home to their parents.
