Journey Schedule
Hello! My name is Judy Carter. I will be a Journey 24/7 youth leader this year at Sharon Baptist Church in Olathe, Kansas. I would like to invite you to join other high school students as we discover what God has planned for our lives.

Our study this year will take us through the book of Romans. In Romans, we will get down to the basics of the Christian life. We’ll cover topics like sin, the Law, the righteousness of God, faith and the work of the Holy Spirit. We’ll travel through Romans chapter by chapter, from our sin to God’s solution to what our response should be. The material is challenging and thought provoking yet accessible to all teens no matter what spiritual level or denominational background.

Our first meeting for this year will be Sunday, September 9, 2007 from 4:00 – 5:00 PM.

Come and join the fun!!!

Not only will you learn more about God’s purpose for you but we will compete in AWANA Games. AWANA Games are annual sporting events where our club will compete with other AWANA clubs in our area. This year's Regional AWANA Games event is currently scheduled for March 7-8, 2008 at Olathe South High School.

AWANA Games include: Basketball RelaySprint Relay - 3-Legged Race - Three Way Tug - Bean Bag Bonanza - Sprint Race - Marathon Race - Marathon Medley - Balloon Relay Just to name a few…

This unique ministry has grown tremendously over the years. This is a memory-making experience for everyone involved. We’ll start our ‘training camp’ for the Games sometime in January.

Another exciting event is the Awana Scholarship Camp. The Awana Scholarship Camp is a summer Christian camping program. During the 7 days of camp, you will effectively bring to a culmination your entire year of study in the Word of God. In the quiet atmosphere of camp, the Spirit of God works again and again in unique ways. Since many Awana Scholarship campers have been involved in Awana clubs for several years, most have already accepted Christ as their personal Savior, and the motivation for Spiritual growth is very high. The carefully screened and hand-picked adult counselors who love teens and have several years experience working with teens adds to this atmosphere. Many of the young people will make life changing decisions for God.

A very important part of Scholarship Camp is the Bible classes and chapel services designed just for young people. Personal workbooks assist in studying and applying God’s Word. In addition, all of the Varsity teens will get valuable ministry tools, training and experiences. These tools and experiences will help you discover God’s will for your life and challenge you to serve Him NOW.

If you or your parents are interested and want to know more please give me a call 913-390-8451 or send me an email: judymcarter@hotmail.com. Please complete the form enclosed and I hope to see you on Sunday, September 9th at 4PM for this years kick-off!
