What is Awana? Awana is a program dedicated to the teaching of the Bible, God’s Holy Word, understanding that It is the instruction manual for our lives here on earth. In Psalm 119:11 the Bible says “I have hidden your Word in my heart that I might not sin against You”. This verse is the whole premise for our Awana program. Children and youth who have memorized scripture will be able to readily recall it when they are faced with the trials and decisions of life. When does AWANA start? This year AWANA clubs will be held each Wednesday night from 6:30 until 8:00. Who can come? There are a number of different clubs for different aged students. Cubbies is for potty-trained children, three to five years of age, not yet in kindergarten. Sparks is for students in Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades. Truth & Training is for students in 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th grade. Trek is for students in 7th, 8th and 9th grades. Journey is for students in the 10th, 11th and 12th grades. "Our prayer is that children and youth around the world will come to know, love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ." We are looking forward to another great year.
